Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 continued to drop Sunday, according to the daily update by the Minnesota Department of Health.
The state reported 311 new cases, pushing the state’s total cumulative cases to 30,471. Of that number, 26,090 are no longer in isolation.
Fifteen new deaths were reported in Blue Earth, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey and Stearns counties, 11 of which were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. The total people who have died from the disease in Minnesota is 1,298.
The department stated 369 people are hospitalized as of today, including 186 in intensive care.
In Freeborn County, two new lab-confirmed cases were reported, including one person in their 30s and another in their 40s, the Freeborn County Public Health Department stated. Two people continue to be hospitalized at this time.
Of the county’s total 220 cumulative cases, 166 of those people are now out of isolation.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 11 new cases in Mower County, for a total of 650 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, and one new case in Faribault County, for a total of 27 cases.
No new cases were reported in Steele or Waseca counties, which have had 175 and 33 cases, respectively.
