I don’t even know 21-year-old Hannah Goodemann, but she makes me proud to say that I, too, am born and raised in Albert Lea, although a bit more than 21 years ago. I think the events of Tuesday evening will be the start of a better Albert Lea, better Minnesota, better United States and better world.

Things must start somewhere. Often they get misplaced and forgotten. Hannah, don’t let that happen. Good things do better with good leaders. Hannah, you can be the start of it. I did not participate in the Tuesday evening gathering, but I do support you and your efforts for a better world, starting right here in Albert Lea. Thanks for all that is yet to come, too.
