Peter Jilk, 49, of Albert Lea, passed away on Mach 30, 2020. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea, MN. Visitation will be from 5-7PM on Thursday, June 11 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery immediately following the service.

Peter Joseph Jilk

Peter Joseph Jilk was born on January 25, 1971 in Winona, Minnesota to Joseph and Helen (Mechlewit Jilk. He grew up and received his schooling in Fountain City, Wisconsin. On August 8, 1992, he was united in marriage to Charlottie Crawford. Peter passed away March 30, 2020 having lived to reach the age of 49 years. He enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, baking, wood working, collecting monster trucks, watching football and attending Monster Jam. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Angel Jilk of Albert Lea; children, Jennifer (Rick) Borg, Peter Jilk Jr. (Brianna Hicks), Angelina Brown Jilk; grandchildren Edward Jilk-Gilbertson, Braxten Hicks, Zoey Jilk, Jacob Borg, Paizley Edith Jilk, Emmitt Borg, and Bentley; siblings, Frank (Jessica) Jilk of Stewartville, Laurie (Jim) Spychalla of St. Paul, Theresa (Brian) Greger of Florida, Jimmy (Amy) Jilk of Fountain City, WI, Mike Jilk of Albert Lea; mother, Helen Allen of St. Paul; father Joe Jilk of Fountain City, WI; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents; grandparents; mother-in-law, Edith Jilkstep-father Robert Allen; and aunts and uncles.
