The man who once sat there no longer does; for he has gone to his glory above.

His throne now he sees.

We, left to mourn look upon the empty seat … and yearn for days of glory us one day to see.

The chair is empty.

Look upon Christ alone who fills all our needs.

The chair is empty.

— Robin Gudal

For many of us, Father’s Day holds some bitter sweetness. This year, that is how I feel; blessed be the memory of my father-in-love, Andy.

Proverbs 23:22-24 (NIV) 22: “Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old. 23 Buy the truth and do not sell it, wisdom, instruction and insight as well. 24 The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him.”

(Tracy) Dad, I am so honored to be your daughter. I love our talks, our in-person visits and being a Beckman.

Greggy, our children are so blessed that you are their example, their hero and the man who loves their momma. You lead by example.

1 John 3:1a (NIV): “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”

Regardless of how the word father plays out in your life, it is important to know you are a child of a loving, kind, safe Heavenly Father and you are very loved. You have purpose!

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads! In this day and age, the term father takes on many role models: dads, stepdads, foster dads, big-brother dads, want-to-be dads, mourning dads, chosen dads, moms-who-play-the-role dads, neighbor dads — to all dads, thank you. You are important in the lives of many!
