Susan Toenges and Douglas Olson, both of Albert Lea, were married May 23, 2020, by the Rev. John Holt in a double ring ceremony at First Lutheran Church.

The couple was united in marriage with only the bride’s four children as witnesses due to the limit of 10 people in the church per COVID-19 social distance precautions.

The bride is the daughter of Delores Schilling and the late Gerald Schilling. She is a graduate of Glenville High School and attended Riverland Community College. She is a retired work trainer.

The groom is the son of the late Chester and Beatrice Olson. He is an Albert Lea High School graduate and attended Riverland Community College. He is a retired senior machine designer and 21-year Navy veteran.

A ceremony vow renewal will be at a later date yet to be determined when extended family and friends from various states can join and celebrate together.
