On Saturday, Western Star Masonic Lodge No. 26 of Albert Lea will be participating in ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at our local Hy-Vee and Bomgaars once again in our annual Jake Loper Kettle Bell Drive.
Masons and Shriners currently donate about $2 million per day to operate 22 Children’s Hospitals in North America, providing free care for many children with disabilities, while locally partnering each year with scholarships and donations for our high school students and community.
But now is an opportunity to donate locally to Albert Lea’s Salvation Army Citadel, with all donations received staying here in our community. Though the best part is that we have partnered to receive matching funds again this year, with every dollar we receive being doubled with matching funds. So, if anyone is looking at donating to the Salvation Army this season, we encourage you to partner with us (again) this year to double your donation’s value, by bringing it to either of the following locations for the Jake Loper Kettle Drive on Saturday.
We will be bell-ringing from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave., and also from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bomgaars, 1721 West Main St. So please support your Albert Lea Masons and Shriners as we work to support the Salvation Army and our local community.
Thank you sincerely.
