William C. Keeler

William C. Keeler, aged 90 of Minnetonka, MN passed away on November 14, 2023. Born in Albert Lea, MN, he was the son of the late Theodore and Edith (Mowery) Keeler and the loving husband of 67 years to the late Merlene (Mattson) Keeler.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Dianne Keeler Bruce (Sam), son Mark Keeler (Idy), grandchildren Madeleine Bruce McGinn, (Tom), Sydney and Samantha Keeler, Josiah & Zachery Keeler. Nieces and Nephews, Suzanne Ildstad, Michael Pralle, Debbie Hambel, Geoff & Jerry Thorson, Susan Duncan, Brian Mattson. Brother in laws; Sven Mattson, Tom Mattson, and Paul Mattson. He is pre-deceased by his sisters and brothers, Robert and Gerald Keeler, Wanda Keeler Myrom, Jane Keeler Ildstad and Shirley Keeler Schroer,

Bill enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Excelsior Odd Fellows Lodge, Minnesota Winnebago group and Excelsior Methodist Church. He served as a Shorewood council member for many years as well as on the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District.

His biggest passion was teaching. He loved working with students inspiring them to work outside their comfort zone. He taught for over 4 decades in the Minnetonka School district. When he retired from teaching, students and neighbors could find him at his bike shop in Excelsior; Area Wide Cycle fixing and selling bikes.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 19th from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Huber Funeral Home 520 Second Street Excelsior, MN 55331.
