The Albert Lea Civil War Roundtable will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Freeborn County Historical Museum. Presenter Jim Munyer will address the topic of Southern Secession in late 1860 and early 1861. The seven seceded states sent commissioners to spread the need of secession to the legislatures of Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee. The talk will pertain to the secession campaign spread by these apostles of secession.
There will be a Q & A opportunity as well as a door prize to a lucky attendee.
