EN(dur)ANCE by Robin Gudal

By the time you’ve read this I will have been to Branson, Missouri, with much of our family to celebrate some milestones. The main reason was my 60th birthday in January. However, it’s also Greggy, my love’s birthday, our youngest grandchild’s first birthday in March and our great-grandson’s golden birthday in April. We love to celebrate BIRTHdays in a big way!

It’s good to celebrate important people in your lives.

Greggy, my favorite person on this earth’s life verse is: “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” — Philippians 1:21, NIV.

His passion is the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19–20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

“Jesus gave this command to the apostles shortly before he ascended into heaven, and it essentially outlines what Jesus expected the apostles and those who followed them to do in his absence.” — GotQuestions.org

He loves his family! He is an encourager. He always thinks the best of a person first and foremost. He is kind, compassionate, patient and available. He is a strong example of what is laid out in Scripture as a godly man and husband.

“He strives daily to model his life after Jesus.” — GotQuestions.org

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” — Philippians 2:3, NIV

Today I honor Greggy, thank you for loving so well!

“When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand.” — Henri Nouwen, “Out of Solitude: Three Meditations on the Christian Life”

“This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.” — John 15:12, NLT
