Donna Mae Stolaas

After a 13-year battle with kidney/bladder cancer, Donna Mae Stolaas, 94 of Glenville was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on April 5, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family.
Donna would like everybody to know that she is, “Just Fine”.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 6 pm Bayview Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14, 2024, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11 AM at Crossroads Church (3402 Hoeger Ln, Albert Lea). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Youth for Christ in Albert Lea.
Donna was born in St. Benedict, IA on August 16, 1929, to Leo and Ermina Studer. Donna graduated from Kanawha High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to William Harriman in 1951 and they were blessed with 5 children and later divorced. In 1963, Donna married Cyril Carroll who helped her raise her children until he died in 1978. In 1987, she found love again and married K. Bruce Stolaas for the last 37 years of her life. Donna loved her husband and family most of all, with her Crossroads Church family close behind. Her hobbies included baking for family and friends, gardening, embroidery, square dancing, bird watching and playing games with friends.
Donna and Cyril owned the C & D Café from 1971 until he got sick with cancer in 1974. Besides being a dedicated and loving homemaker, Donna wore many hats in her employment ventures that included waitressing and retail, the Glenville Legion and 20 years at Wilson’s/Farmstead Meat Packing Plant. She was a member of Crossroads Church, in Albert Lea, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Eagles Auxiliary. Donna volunteered for 15 years at the Floral Hall at the Freeborn County Fair and 17 years at Youth for Christ.
Those left behind who were lucky enough to be loved by her include her husband, Bruce; children, Michelle (David) Harris, Larry (Nancy) Carroll and Marcia Glenn; grandchildren, Patrick (Dawn) Follmuth, Kathryn (Charles) Riggie, Nicole (Allen) Bechstein, Stephanie (Nicholas) Clark, Melanie (Michael) Targoff and Alycia (Cody) Kenyon; 15 great-grandchildren, plus three more arriving in June; step-children, Robin (Tom) Evenson, Kevin (Kelly) Stolaas, Scott (Tammy) Stolaas and Kelli Stolaas; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Eunice Hatleli, Connie Tufte and Charles Studer; brother-in-law Francis Delgado; honorary granddaughter, Lily Robertson and family; numerous extended family members
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Patrick Harriman; daughter, Margaret Stadsvold; husband, Cyril Carroll; sister Darlene Delgado; son-in-law, Jerry Glenn; brothers-in-law, Duane Hatleli and Clayton Tufte; sisters-in-law Pricilla Studer and Lola Studer.
