I have to agree with political scientist Rachel Bitecofer’s reporting “… the Republican Party has collapsed into a dangerous cult hell-bent on destroying democracy and the rule of law … How do we prosecute the Republican Party for intentionally putting American democracy on its deathbed?”
State Rep. Peggy Bennett’s response to recent DFL legislation passed for the common good “… transform Minnesota alright — right into the economic and crime-ridden desert of a third world country!” Bennett’s fear-inducing message is dangerous because her message has elements of the Republican National Committee (RNC) Project 25 fascist plan for America.
In plain sight, Congressman Finstad, state Sen. Dornick and state Rep. Bennett, plus all of the local GOP-elected leaders/column writers are on board with destroying democracy and the rule of law. Why?
Sometimes Trump speaks freely about the RNC Project 2025 and Project 47 plans to end democracy and the rule of law — plans exposing the RNC’s vision of fascism.
Back in 2016, “Meet the Press” interviewer Chuck Todd asked Trump what Trump thought about the Benito Mussolini quote: “It is better to live one day as a lion that 100 years as a sheep.”
Trump answers: “It is a very good quote, it is a very interesting quote, and I know it… I know who said it. But what difference does it make whether it’s Mussolini or somebody else?”
Are you on Trump’s fascist list of people whom he says are “vermin?” As follows: teachers, librarians, all Democrats, transgender people, union members, public education itself, all immigrants who are not white plus your democracy/government in its entirety?
Calling most of us plus our government vermin looks like fascism.
