Margaret Jane went home to be with our Lord and Savior on April 24, 2024. She was born on December 8, 1933, in Albert Lee, MN to Ernest and Florence Sanders and had four siblings, Harold “Butch”, Charles “Chuck”, Dorothy (Sanders) Fagerstrom, and Robert “Bob” Sanders.

Margaret Jane Thompson Shores

Margaret was united in marriage to E. Blanchard Thompson on April 19, 1952, in Albert Lee, MN where they were blessed with 3 sons, Jeff, Ron, Randy. The family moved to Arizona in 1959 where they were again blessed with sons, this time twins, Justin, and Joel. The family enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with one of their favorites being Beaverhead Lodge in Eastern AZ. There were many great memories made of those times together.

After raising 5 sons, Margaret started a career in childcare, later moving to Valley National Bank (Chase) where she held various management positions until retirement.

Margaret married Kenneth Shores on December 22, 1993. They enjoyed a life of traveling, and holidays with family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, sons Jeff and Joel, husband E. Blanchard Thompson, and husband Kenneth Shores.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Ron (Janice), Randy (Jayne), and Justin (Christina), 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Services for Margaret will be on Tuesday May 7th, 2024, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 4310 E Southern Ave Phoenix, AZ 85042.

Viewing 9 am, Service 10 am, Graveside Service to immediately follow.
