Multiple Tigers make personal bests in triangular

The Albert Lea boys’ track and field team competed Wednesday night at Owatonna in a triangular against Owatonna and Rochester John Marshall.
The boys posted a combined total of 49 personal best performances. Some of the highlights included:
Henry Buendorf: Third place in the 200m dash with a time of 24.16
Elijah Goetz: Third place in the 400m dash with a time of 54.37
Andrew Tscholl: Second place in the 1600m run with a time of 4:46.50
Isaiah McGaffey: First place in the 3200m run with a time of 10:34.28
Charlie Irvine: Third place in the 300m hurdles with a time of 44.71
Charlie Irvine: Third place in the long jump with a jump of 20′ 2″
Alex Palmer: Second place in the pole vault with a jump of 12′ 0″
4x400m Relay team: First place with a time of 3:39.38 with included Isaiah Anderson, Alex Palmer, Max Irvine and Isaiah McGaffey
The Tigers took third in the meet with 37 points. Owatonna won with 104, and Rochester John Marshall had 44.
The team competes next week on Tuesday at Faribault and Thursday at New Richland.
