Favorite teacher of all time and why: Jasmine Hansen. I had her for math my sophomore year and has always been my track coach. She has taught me so much about resilience and patience. Also a huge shoutout to my swim coach Angel Welch, who has taught me so much over the years. She is such a safe space and light to everyone around her. I will forever be so thankful for these two.

Current/past activities, volunteer work and accomplishments: I am currently a girls’ track and field captain, 2024 girls swim and dive captain, FCA leadership team, link crew and NHS. I am a TA for special ed, which has been the biggest blessing to me and always the best part of my day.

What do you want to do after high school? I want to go to college and major in biochemistry. The end goal is to be a pathologist. I would like to also volunteer in special education or for special needs organizations.

What advice would you give to younger students in Albert Lea? Keep your head up and try new things! Everyone is in a similar situation. Join a school activity. It has been the best decision I ever made. It gave me amazing friends and teammates as well as coaches.
