Two people from Freeborn County were taken to a Rochester hospital Saturday evening after two motorcycles struck a deer on Interstate 90 in Mower County.
Jacob Ryan Johnson, 34, of Emmons and Alexis Danielle Gullickson, 26, of Albert Lea were taken by ambulance to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Their injuries were deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Johnson and Gullickson were reportedly riding a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on I-90 near milepost 192 at the time of the crash at 5:37 p.m.
A 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Anthony Jerome Woodraska, 35, of Emmons, was eastbound on I-90 at the same time and also hit the deer. Woodraska and his passenger, Maria Guadalupe Alvarado, 36, of Andrews, Texas, received non life-threatening injuries but were not taken to the hospital.
None of the occupants on either motorcycle were wearing a helmet, and alcohol was not a factor.
