A Hard Day’s Night — Beatles Tribute

A special Beatles Tribute Concert — A Hard Day’s Night — will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online, by phone (service fees apply) or at the box office. Learn more on actonbroadway.com.

Friends of the Albert Lea Public Library Spring Book Sale

The Friends of the Albert Lea Public Library will host its spring book sale. All proceeds will go toward programs and equipment for the library. The sale will operate over three days: a members-only preview from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday; noon to 6 p.m. on Friday; and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. It will take place in the Albert Lea City Center Garage near the Fountain Street entrance to City Center and Albert Lea Public Library. Saturday will be a bag sale where customers can fill any size bag for one low price.

“Jump Over the Moon” Comedy show

Join American Legion Post 56 at 8 p.m. Friday for a night of stand-up comedy, food and drinks. Tickets are $10 in advance and can be purchased at bit.ly/Jumpoverthemoon, at the Legion or at the door on the night of the event. Tables of four and six can also be reserved online. The lineup of comedians includes Hayden Fredriksen, David Schendlinger, Derek Koshial, Dave Kilbride and Mark Vegas.

Minnesota Railroads

Join the Freeborn County Museum, Library and Village for a presentation on Minnesota railroads at 7 p.m. Thursday at the museum. Presenter Steve Glischinski has been an avid photographer of railroads for decades, and his work has been published in many books and magazines. The event is free to museum members and $5 for nonmembers.

Spring into the Y

Stop over at the Albert Lea Family YMCA from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for a free community event to celebrate spring. There will be food trucks, bounce houses, yard games, a family obstacle course, functional mobility classes and a 5k run/walk starting at the Y. Community partners will also be on hand, and there will be an open house for the Y’s summer camp.
