Albert Lea High School seniors Jordan Habana and Taylor Larsen joined their former teacher, Jeff Groth's PE classes last Wednesday and Thursday morning. They participated with the third through fifth graders at Hawthorne Elementary in many activities such as parachute, indoor Gaga ball and floor hockey. Provided

When Habana and Larsen were in fourth grade they asked Groth to purchase floor hockey sticks because the school did not have them at the time. Since then, floor hockey has been a yearly unit taught to kindergarten through fifth grade and works on many skills such as stick handling, passing and shooting. It was exciting to have the girls come back and get to use the equipment students may not have otherwise had if it wasn’t for them asking. Both girls played on the Albert Lea girls’ hockey team this past winter. Provided
