Albert Lea’s VFW Post 447 baseball team recently competed in the Rochester Rundown Tournament. The tournament consisted of 16 teams and the locals came home getting second in their half of the pool.

They started the opening round on Friday, June 7, getting a 12-4 victory over Lakeville North.

Their next game the team came up short with a loss to Mankato West Jr. Legion team 11-8.

The VFW came back strong in the third game with a win over Rochester Lourdes VFW 9-4.

On Sunday, June 9, the team finished the weekend beating Rochester Century 16-11 going 3 and 1 for the tournament.
