Arlys J. Eastvold passed away on July 11, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born on Feb. 6, 1938 in Mankato MN to Arthur Schaible and Florence (Oachs) Schaible (Standfest). Arlys married her first husband Duane Wallin in 1955; they had six children together. They later divorced, and Arlys met and married David Eastvold in 1974; they had one child together. Her Christian faith and family were important to her. She loved horseback riding in her younger years, and was a talented accordion and piano player. She had many wonderful life long friends and enjoyed being a housewife. She enjoyed 25 years of winters in Florida. Arlys was an inspiration to everyone she knew!

She is survived by her children Lori Frank (Mike Snow), Lynne Kofstad, LaVonne (Jack) Bjerk, Michael (Bethany) Wallin, Christine Johnson (Ken Schulte), David (Katherine) Wallin, Matthew (Amanda) Eastvold, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Bonnie (Dick) Swanson, brothers-in-law Dick (Janet) Eastvold, Lonnie (and his friend Faye) Eastvold, and many nieces and nephews.

Arlys is preceded in death by her husband David Eastvold, parents Arthur Schaible and Florence (Schaible) Standfest, brother Arthur Schaible Jr., father-in-law Trygve Eastvold and mother-in-law Helene (Fergeson) Eastvold, sister-in-law Betty Eastvold, brother-in-law Kim Eastvold, sons-in-law Fredrick Frank and David Kofstad and special friend Jerome (Jay) Saarinen.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of her wonderful caregivers at Northfield Benedictine and the wonderful care she received from St. Croix Hospice staff.

Memorial donations are preferred to Hartland Cross of Glory Lutheran Cemetery or St. Croix Hospice.
