Update:
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has canceled the endangered missing persons alert.
It stated Thomas Biatek was found safe.
Original story:
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued an endangered missing persons alert Wednesday for a Lino Lakes man who previously lived in Albert Lea.
The law enforcement organization stated Thomas George Biatek, 61, left his home in Lino Lakes at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday to purchase a battery and return to a waiting contractor.
He did not return home, and the Apple air tag on his keys showed he went to Wyoming, then Princeton, then Onamia, where he purchased fuel, then back south on Highway 169.
He is driving MN Lic EXV170, a 2020 turquoise blue Subaru Forester, and his last known location was Milaca.
He was last seen wearing a black and gray button-up shirt and blue jeans.
Biatek served as a pastor at United Methodist Church in Albert Lea from June 2010 to June 2015.
