Have you ever heard the phrase, “A burden shared is a burden lightened?”
On Saturday, June 22, and Tuesday, July 2, I met my Waterloo. It was on those days that I received it twice. Twenty-two inches of sewer water and some ground water in my basement.
Because of this, I cleaned my basement floor twice of sewer water and had to replace my washer and dryer, furnace twice, water heater twice, water softener and freezer.
My husband and I were heavily burdened. Fear and anxiety were taking over as we dealt with our problems. I then texted or called my friends to tell them of our problems. With every call or text, our cross of fear and worry became less.
To all our friends, family, church family, non-emergency operator, Jim and Dudes, Public Works people, Culligan, Thompson Electric, Morrison & Wells and Pro Serv, Tom and I want to say thank you. Thank you to all of you Simon of Cyrene people, who helped us carry and bear our cross of fear and worry by your kind and sympathetic words.
Thank you. Thank you. May God bless you all.
