We have a chance this November to elect a fresh face to represent district 23A. Joe Staloch is running against five-term incumbent Peggy Bennett for the state representative seat. Joe will be the voice we need to speak for our needs in this community. Joe was raised on a family farm outside of Wells, and his family has lived in that area for many years so he really knows this district.

What I also like about Joe is that he stands for the freedoms we all want:

• Freedom to have affordable and available health care.

• Freedom to have affordable and accessible child care.

• Freedom to have a place to call home. We need affordable housing.

• Freedom for women to make their own reproductive decisions.

• Freedom to have and keep the democracy this country is founded on.

These are things we all deserve, and we should not settle for anything less.

We need fresh ideas from someone who cares. It isn’t easy to make the choice to run, a person gives up so much of their own time and life. Joe cares enough to put others first and put himself out there to better our community.
