EN(dur)ANCE by Robin Gudal
Have you ever done something stupid? Didn’t know the whole story and reacted? Overreacted? Misspoke?
Ugh!
I have and recently did again!
Really Robin?
I instantly knew I didn’t have the whole story but jumped into “leader mode” and reacted. I do have passion! Sometimes my strength becomes my weakness and, in that moment, that was definitely the case.
My next feeling was embarrassment.
Again, really Robin?
I didn’t sleep well that night as I played the scenario over and over in my head.
The person was a stranger so there was no option for an apology as I processed more.
Then came disappointment with myself.
Grace is great and I often share it with others but it can seem difficult to give to myself.
My daily verse after that “toss and turn” night was:
“I took my troubles to the Lord; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.” — Psalm 120:1, NLT
Then a few days later:
“O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.” — Psalm 86:5, NLT
I am praying this action and now lesson doesn’t repeat it self.
The last portion of my signature is so true this week!
Robin (Beckman) Gudal is intentional in life, a wife, momma, nana, friend and a flawed and imperfect follower of Jesus.
