Thomas Eustis, 59, a beloved member of the Albert Lea community, passed away on July 20, 2024, in the Good Samaritan Society Comfort Care in Austin Minnesota.
A service will be held at a later date.
Born on May 19, 1965, in Washington, Pennsylvania, Thomas was the son of the late Jack and Shirley Ann (Noland) Eustis. He grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School.
Tom worked for Crest Services for 16 years and 9 months. He started working for Crest Services when they moved to their new building. Tom took great pride in his work, cleaning the office and keeping everything tidy. He was always there before his shift with a smile on his face. Tom always had kind words for his coworkers and loved to make them laugh. When he had lunch with the supervisors, he would tell them all about his family, which he held near to his heart. He also loved celebrating Crest and represented them in the July 3rd parade. They visited with Tom when he lived in Austin and one of his first questions was, “Is the office staying clean since I have been gone? I wish I cold come back and clean for you guys.”
Thomas loved sports, especially football and baseball. He made sure to watch the games whenever he could, following local teams like the Vikings, Steelers, Twins and the Pirates. He loved his family dearly and always made time for them, no matter what was going on. Thomas could tell you anything you wanted to know about any player because he would clip sports standings out of the Albert Lea Tribune. He has boxes of baseball statistics along with an unbelievable amount of movies. Thomas was loved by so many people and I remember doing a care conference for Tommy and he told everyone that he was an angel. He is an angel because he helped his sister get through her heart surgery before leaving us.
Those left to cherish Thomas’ memory include: Cheryl (Mike) Wiskirchen, Greg Eustis, Thomas Eustis, and Lisa (Jeff) Olson, Lynn, Sam, Seth, Shane, Ciarra, Cali, Tiffany, Michael, Allan, Jonathon, Ross, and Amber; several extended family members; and countless friends.
In addition to his parents, Jack and Shirley, Thomas was preceded in death by an infant brother, and an aunt, Ada Kuethe.
