Recap: Despite a straight sets loss against the Bearcats of North Butler to open the season, the Vikings were able to keep the sets close until the end. No individual stats for this match were available as of press time.
After a tournament on Saturday in Garner, the Vikings will have two opportunities to right the ship next week when they host Nashua-Plainfield Tuesday and travel to take on West Fork Thursday evening.
Lake Mills

Recap: The Bulldogs opened their season like an already well-oiled machine against the Eagles of West Hancock Thursday night.
The team ended with an astronomical 17 aces in the three-set sweep, led by Natalie Lary with five. Lary also led the team in digs with five. Addison Frank and Bailey Degestad dominated at the net with eight and seven kills, respectively. Tenley Kesler recorded 30 assists in the blowout.
The Bulldogs look to build on their momentum with two matches next week. Tuesday on the road against Belmond-Klemme and Thursday at home against Bishop Garrigan.
Alden-Conger

Recap: The lone area volleyball team with multiple wins so far this season, the Knights have done it in style, winning in straight sets in both outings.
A Tuesday win against another area team in NRHEG was followed with a dominant victory over section for Hayfield Thursday night. Individual stats from the Knights matchup were unavailable as of press time.
Alden-Conger goes into next week with two road match-ups on the schedule. Tuesday night they travel to Blooming Prairie, followed by a Thursday evening meeting with Nicollet.
Glenville-Emmons

Recap: The Wolverines made some positive strides in their second matchup of the season, pulling out one set victory against Lyle-Pacelli Thursday.
After a 3-0 loss to Houston to open the season, Glenville-Emmons fared slightly better Thursday, but still fell 3-1. Individual stats from both matches were unavailable as of press time.
The Wolverines look forward to two matchups this week. Tuesday on the road against Kingsland and Thursday when they host Grand Meadow.
