The primary election is slated for Tuesday, and while there are no city or county races on the ballot this year, there are still a few races on the ballot that pertain to the area.

Specifically, voters will be able to select which two from each party to move on for U.S. senator and U.S representative for the 1st Congressional District.

Voters are only able to vote for one party, and then in the general election, voters will then have the chance to pick which candidate out of all of the remaining candidates they would like to put in the positions.

Without a whole lot on the ballot, we fear the turnout will be low, and we urge people to take advantage of the privilege we have to vote in this country.

In case you don’t know where to go to vote, check out the list of polling locations on page 4.

Voting for most locations, except for a few, begins at 7 a.m. and runs through 8 p.m.
