Emily was born on July 5, 1929, to Fremont and Dorothy (Schaefer) Paschke. She was a 1947 graduate of Blue Earth High School. She married her husband, Howard Morrison, on January 17, 1948. They were blessed with three children and raised their family on a horse farm in Albert Lea.
Emily enjoyed working many jobs in Albert Lea, including at the A&W Root Beer Stand, Northside Dry Cleaners, and Super 8 Motel. She owned her own cleaning business and loved her last job at the Albert Lea Doll Museum. Over the years, Emily became a collector of many things, including antiques, Coca-Cola collectibles, Barbies, and Santa Clauses, to name a few. She never missed a night of watching Wheel of Fortune. She loved riding, showing, and caring for horses most of her life, and enjoyed listening to country western music and Elvis. She loved bus trips to Branson, Missouri, and winters in McAllen, Texas.
Emily was a social butterfly and a great friend to many. She enjoyed a good conversation, playing cards, bingo, and having coffee with friends. She was an avid volunteer and dedicated many hours to helping with the Big Island Rendezvous and Festivals in Albert Lea, 4-H horse programs, REACT Club, State 4-H horse shows: Minnesota/Iowa Arabian Show, Frost Border Riders Saddle Club, and the Sunset Saddle Club. In later years she was an announcer at many horse shows.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Fremont and Dorothy Paschke; brothers, Vernon, Donald, and Ronald; sister, Julaine; son, Richard Morrison; and son-in-law, Bob Woollard.
She is survived by her sister, Ramona; daughters, Charlene Tancabel (Terrence), Gloria Woollard; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
