PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Hayward City Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday August 28, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Hayward Community Hall, 201 Main Street, Hayward, MN. The city is seeking an ordinance amending the Hayward City Code Chapter 91, Section 91.01(3) relating to non-domesticated animals. The ordinance amendment would amend the definition of non-domestic animals to specifically include crossbred wolves, dogs and wolf-dog hybrids whether or not such animals are commonly accepted domesticated animals. To address the city council regarding this issue, you will have an opportunity to do so at the public hearing. Those unable to attend should submit their questions or opinions in writing to the Hayward City Clerk/Treasurer, 20532 810th Avenue, Hayward, MN 56043, prior to the August 28th public hearing.
