Laura Archbold joins KSMQ Public Television as new station manager

KSMQ Public Television is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Archbold as the new station manager. Archbold has three decades of experience in television news, agency work, nonprofit and corporate communications, serving a variety of audience segments and industries.

In her new role, Archbold will oversee all station operations, including programming, production and community outreach efforts. She will also play a key role in strategic planning and development initiatives to enhance KSMQ’s service to its viewers.

“I am honored to join KSMQ and lead the station in delivering high quality programming,” said Archbold. “KSMQ serves the public good by highlighting important stories that have a universal impact, tailored to the unique needs of our region. As part of the PBS network, KSMQ connects to America’s most trusted voice in media and serves as a premier source for entertainment, news and documentary storytelling. I am excited to contribute to a mission that aims to strengthen the social, democratic, and cultural fabric of the U.S.”

Over her career, Archbold has worked with a diverse spectrum of organizations—ranging from innovative start-ups and nonprofits to globally recognized brands, including public, private,and faith-based groups. She has highlighted everyday heroes, influential leaders, and transformative change-makers. Her work has garnered numerous industry and business awards for communications and community outreach, including five Telly Awards for excellence in storytelling. Archbold has served on various nonprofit boards and is an active volunteer. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in speech and mass communications from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
