The Albert Lea Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Freeborn County Historical Museum. The speaker will be Lanny Witter, who will present on the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), which consisted of Union Army and Navy veterans. The GAR was the predecessor of the American Legion.

There will be time for a Q and A, plus a drawing for a Civil War related book. This program is free and open to the public.
