It is important to all of us here in southern Minnesota and north-central Iowa, to have nearby, quality, affordable health care. Our board of trustees have been working hard to find a new health care partner that brings us a full staff of doctors, nurses, labs, technicians and the support crews that make a great medical center.

The Albert Lea Healthcare clinic already has specialists here, through the Mason City Clinic, who are providing ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), urology, podiatry and psychiatry. They are practicing in the John & Susan Morrison Medical Plaza (formerly the Herberger’s store), that was already made into a beautiful medical facility.

The gala is once again happening! This year, on Saturday, Sept. 14, committee members and board members are working hard to bring us a grand evening of fun, food and entertainment. The proceeds will support the search for a full medical staff to fulfill our medical needs. Delightful music from the High School Orchestra (6:30 to 7:30 p.m.), plus dance music from Sundae & MR Goessl Jazz Band (7:30 to 9:30 p.m.) and then The Johnny Holm Band will play from 8 until 11 p.m. Tickets include your dinner, beer and wine, an open cash bar and, of course, the dances.

Ticket price: $100 per person

Reserved table price: $2,000, includes eight reserved seats
