Marva Ann Gullord

Marva Ann Gullord, age 81, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, September 3 at Zion Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Marva was born on May 6, 1943, in Blue Earth, Minnesota to Leslie and Evelyn (Klatt) Lunning. She attended Frost High School, graduating on May 27, 1960. After graduating she attended the Fairmont School of Cosmetology to become a hairstylist. On January 30, 1966, she was united in marriage to Truman Gullord. From this union, two daughters were born. The family made their home in Albert Lea.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. She volunteered at her church, delivering Meals on Wheels. She was active in an exercise group in town and continued cutting and styling anyone who needed their hair done! She was known to help anyone who needed it, with anything at any time, day or night. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, knitting, talking on the phone and putting puzzles together. Marva’s greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by so many, many people.
Marva is survived by her husband of 58 years, Truman Gullord; daughter Amy (Jim) Larson and their children, Emily Larson and Adam (Katie) Larson; daughter, Krys Gullord (Jeff Palmer) and their children Emma Palmer and Chance Palmer; Sister Julie (Steve) Mangskau and their daughter Nikki; and many relatives and lifelong friends.
Marva is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Evelyn Lunning and brother, Edward Lunning.
Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church for their stained glass windows fund.
