State Patrol: 1 killed, another seriously injured in Albert Lea crash

One person died and another was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a crash at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 13 and West Main Street in Albert Lea.
Roger Allen Jensen, 84, of Albert Lea, reportedly died at the scene of the crash, while Marva Ann Marie Gullord, 81, of Albert Lea, was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with life-threatening injuries.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jensen was driving a 2016 Honda Pilot eastbound on Freeborn County Road 46 at 2 p.m. at the same time as a 1997 Peterbilt semi, driven by Gabriel Troy Schumacher, 21, of Lamberton, that was southbound on Minnesota Highway 13. The two vehicles collided at the intersection.
The State Patrol has not released any other details about how the crash occurred.
Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christianson stated the crash remains under investigation. Authorities conducted a crash reconstruction and are still conducting interviews. He anticipated more information could be available in four to six weeks.
All occupants were listed as wearing their seat belts and alcohol was not a factor.
