Founders Day this weekend in Northwood

Northwood’s 20th annual Founders Day celebration will take place on Saturday with activities for the whole family.
The day kicks off with breakfast by the Northwood Lions Club from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at the Masonic Temple with scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice.
Throughout the day will be the annual Aristocrats Car Show, a cemetery walk, art show, horse show, inflatables for children and a free family show at the Northwood theater.
There will also be an open house at the Stromstein Building, several food vendors open, as well as bags, darts and horseshoe tournaments, among other activities.
The full schedule is as follows:
• 7 to 10:30 a.m.: Breakfast by the Northwood Lions Club
• 8 to 11 a.m.: Aristocrats Car Show registration; trophies awarded at 2 p.m.
• 9 a.m.: Norwegian Goodies Stand with lease, pastries, Rommegrot and coffee open
• 9 a.m.: Street vendors and stores open
• 9 a.m.: Cemetery walk at Sunset Rest Cemetery featuring the lives of Spanish American War veteran-William Henry Busbey, Sharlene Stoddard, Wanda Hoffman, Ike Davey and Arleigh and Esther Thompson .
• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Art show at Stromstein Building
• 9:30 a.m.: Horse show registration at Worth County Fairgrounds Arena; show starts at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $25 per rider and horse combo or $5 per class.
• 10 a.m.: Inflatables for children
• 10:30 a.m.: Free family show at Northwood Theatre; includes small pop and popcorn
• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Main museum open serving Rommegrot
• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Open house at Stromstein Building
• 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Half Pint the Clown and face painting
• 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Robbie V and his Rock-N-Roll Caravan
• Noon: Sign up for bags tournament at Nordic Lanes. Tournament starts at 1 p.m.
• 2 p.m.: Antique Car Speed, meet at airport
• 2 p.m.: Sign up for dart tournament at Nordic Lanes. Tournament starts at 3 p.m.
• 3 p.m.: Horseshoe tournament in Swensrud Park
