Update: Name of man killed in Highway 13 crash released

Update:
The Minnesota State Patrol on Friday released the name of the Hartland man killed early Thursday after a crash on Minnesota Highway 13 north of Hartland.
According to the State Patrol crash report, Luke Matthew Hershey, 26, died at the scene after a head-on collision with a 2023 Kenworth construction truck near Freeborn County Road 35.
The report stated Hershey was not wearing his seat belt. Alcohol was not a factor.
The State Patrol has not released any other information about which vehicle crossed the center line.
The driver of the construction truck, Dwight Craig Kleinschrodt, 80, of Albert Lea, was also injured and was taken by Mayo Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. He was listed as wearing his seat belt, and his injuries were deemed not life-threatening.

A 26-year-old Hartland man died early Thursday after a crash on Minnesota Highway 13 north of Hartland.
The name of the man is expected to be released Friday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash report stated the man was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am north on Highway 13 and a 2023 Kenworth construction truck was southbound when they collided at 3:37 a.m. near Freeborn County Road 35.
The Hartland driver was not wearing his seat belt, and the report does not say which vehicle crossed the center line.
