Last week’s editorial was about inflation. This week I deal with illegal immigration. These are two most important issues facing Americans this election cycle.

Personally, I’m having a difficult time understanding why the Democrats are so hellbent on open boarders. I realize their goal is to create a new voting block, but they risk alienating their base.

The Democrats’ base is the blue collar worker. With over 10 million young illegals looking for jobs and willing to work for less than the prevailing wage, the labor pool will be seriously diluted.

Thanks to the Biden/Harris administration the American blue collar worker will have fewer job opportunities and will be paid less.

I suggest every blue collar worker think long and hard before voting for Harris/Walz or any Democrat supporting open borders. This will be difficult for lifelong Democrats, but it’s time to realize the Democrats are taking your support for granted. The Teamsters chose not to endorse Kamala/Walz. Why not you?

Most illegal interlopers come from cultures very different from ours. They are bussed by the thousands to cities across America, establishing enclaves making no effort to assimilate. The Somali enclave in Minneapolis is an example.

Hundreds of thousands of asylum seekers from some of the most dangerous third world countries are being flown directly to cities around America with no effort to screen for criminals. The result will be disastrous.

Sanctuary cities and states are providing drivers licenses which could be used to vote. Green cards may be on the way.

Illegals coming for work will often be paid cash under the table. They won’t pay income or social security taxes. Many will be abused by unscrupulous employers.

However, many are coming for free handouts inundating social and health services. Schools will be overwhelmed with youngsters who do not speak English. Our teachers are not remotely qualified to handle this onslaught. American students will suffer!

These young men have sweethearts, wives, children, mothers/fathers in their home countries. As soon as they get established in America they will send for them, adding to the millions already here.

Foreign criminal gangs are running roughshod over law enforcement, importing and distributing the drugs that are killing our youth. Crime, brutal rapes, murders, home invasions and sex trafficking is off the charts.

However, the most dangerous challenge facing America is the number of Islamic terrorists slipping in to our country. The question becomes “when,” not “if” there will be another major terrorist attack on American soil. It is coming! Kamala/Walz with their history of antisemitism will do nothing to stop it. I believe a number of coordinated attacks will occur simultaneously across the country.

Trump will close the border and do his best to deport illegals, but will be stymied by the Democrats in sanctuary cities and states who will do everything possible block his efforts.

Biden/Harris are responsible for this mess. Kamala has done nothing to secure the border in three years. If elected nothing will change.
