Freeborn County Historical Museum, Library and Village’s annual Autumn in the Village is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 21. The event is sponsored by Central Farm Services.
This free family friendly event celebrates historic demonstrations, live music, games, hands-on activities and more. The Fair Weather Pickers will perform live music and tell stories. The Minnesota Breeders Association will be offering wagon rides and demonstrations, and the Minnesota Trappers Association will be on hand with furs and other items.
Guests can also enjoy BBQ pulled pork, cole slaw and fresh baked crisps with ice cream, which will be available for purchase.
The village is home to 10 buildings dating from the 1850s to the early 1900s, three storefronts and the Red Shed one-room schoolhouse. In addition to the historic buildings, the village features a large collection of antique farming equipment.
