The Big Island Rendezvous this week announced the creation of the 2024 Rendezvous print. This is the 38th year of the Rendezvous and the 38th print.
The print features the people who have come together as they wait for wagons of trade goods from the trading post to arrive. They may be waiting three or four days, so they traded with each other.
There may be a mountain man who needed a new shirt and a lady there who could make him one. While they waited, they enjoy the music; shown is a lady with her banjo and a man playing a tuba.
There is a silversmith at work and a mother with a little boy writing a letter. In the lower right side is a tribute to Grandpa Jim, who passed away this year, and Jennifer Ordalen, as Annie Oakley doing the whips.
All are enjoying the time they have to be with each other.
The artist is Eloise Adams. The prints can be seen at the event near the main stage. After the event the prints can be seen at Adams Originals Shop in downtown Albert Lea.
Funds from the sale of the prints help to make possible the two student days.
