EN(dur)ANCE by Robin Gudal
“In what ways do you want to grow in the next year? What type of person do you want to be? What do you want people to think when they see you coming?”
In “The Forge,” a Kendrick Brothers movie, these three questions were asked; let us reflect upon them. The storyline also focused strongly on the act of forgiveness.
“The most important reason we forgive others is to reexperience the way Jesus has forgiven us.” — Justin Whitmel Earley
“Forgiveness is the divine miracle of grace. The cost to God was the cross of Christ.” — Oswald Chambers
“I hear the Savior say, ‘Thy strength indeed is small, child of weakness, watch and pray, find in me thine all in all.’ Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain; he washed it white as snow… And when, before the throne, I stand in him complete, ‘Jesus died, my soul to save,’ my lips shall still repeat.” — “Jesus Paid it All,” Elvina M. Hall
I am ever grateful for Christ’s grace. I so need it! If you have not experienced or accepted it, please consider today. Repent of your sin, then accept the grace, love and forgiveness of Christ.
“The Christian life is not a changed life. It is an exchanged life.” — O.S. Hawkins.
“My name was lost ‘til your love reached down. You rescued me, now my name is found. I was a slave to my sin and shame, but those chains fell off when you changed my name. You changed my name, from too far gone to saved by grace. And now I am forever changed, all because you changed my name.” — “You Changed My Name,” Matthew West
“Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.” — The Lord’s Prayer, Matthew 6
