Police arrested Samantha Elise Gunhammer, 35, for possession of stolen property at 7:19 p.m. Sunday after being pulled over in a stolen vehicle near East Main Street and Ulstad Avenue.

 

Burglary reported

Deputies received a report at 5:33 p.m. Friday of a burglary at 28374 North Island Circle in Hollandale. The house was rummaged through, but nothing appeared to be missing.

 

Tires reported illegally dumped

FIve tires were reported illegally dumped in a ditch at 2:09 p.m. Saturday near Freeborn County Road 46 and 816th Avenue in Hayward.

 

Hit-and-run reported

Deputies received a report at 6:36 p.m. Saturday of a hit-and-run crash near 800th Avenue and 255th Street in Albert Lea.

 

1 arrested on warrant

Deputies arrested Shandani Monique Zamarripa, 34, on a Mower County warrant and giving a peace officer a false name after receiving a report at 7:45 a.m. Sunday of people the caller knew who reportedly showed up at a house and tried to force a door open at 75463 160th St. in Albert Lea.

 

School bus stop arm violations reported

Police received a report of a school bus stop arm violation at 10:05 a.m. Friday at 302 Court St. The incident had occurred the day before.

Police received a report at 12:43 p.m. Friday of a bank account that was hacked into and money taken at 331 S. Broadway.

 

Fraudulent charges reported

Police received a report at 9:13 p.m. Friday of a debit card that was stolen and fraudulent charges that were made at stores in Albert Lea.

 

Rock reported thrown through window

Police received a report at 10:07 p.m. Friday of a rock that had been thrown through a window at 935 Madison Ave.

 

Thefts reported

Police received a report at 11:41 p.m. Friday of a vape pen that was stolen at 418 Pillsbury Ave.

Two bicycles were reported stolen at 3:53 p.m. Saturday at 2309 Milo Ave.

An electric bike was reported stolen at 8:06 p.m. Sunday at 1108 W. Front St.

 

Man arrested on domestic abuse no contact order violation

Police arrested Alberto Esai Renteria, 25, on a domestic abuse no contact order violation at 11:52 a.m. Saturday at 917 James Ave.

 

Storage unit broken into

A storage unit was reported broken into at 8:08 a.m. Sunday at 310 W. Seventh St.

 

Vehicle broken into

A vehicle was reported broken into at 5:05 p.m. Sunday at 312 E. Fourth St. About $20 worth of quarters, a phone charger and earbuds were taken.

 

Scam reported

Police received a report of a person who was out money after a phone scam at 9:57 p.m. Sunday at 201 W. Main St.

 

1 arrested for malicious punishment of child

Police arrested Alejandra Emma Guerrero, 24, for malicious punishment of a child at 10:46 p.m. Sunday at 1020 Swanhill Drive.
