Law enforcement Halloween event
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Albert Lea Police Department and Albert Lea Fire Rescue will host a Halloween event from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Law Enforcement Center. Tour emergency vehicles and meet staff, who will hand out candy.

Halloween Spooktacular
Children and families are invited to dress up and visit downtown shops in Albert Lea. Local businesses will offer sweet treats, surprises and some activities that promise a fun and festive evening for all. Each participating business will be open to celebrate the spooky season, creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy Halloween.
“We’re excited to provide a fun, family-friendly Halloween celebration right here in the heart of Albert Lea,” said Konrad Hawkinson, administrative assistant for the Albert Lea Convention & Visitors Bureau. “It’s a great way for kids (and parents) to dress up in fun costumes to enjoy some treats, and discover all that our downtown has to offer.”
The Halloween Spooktacular Event is open to all ages and is free to attend. Parents are encouraged to accompany their children and experience the community spirit as they stroll through downtown and support local businesses.

Family Halloween Night
Good Shot Golf and Sporting Clays, 124 Arrowhead Drive in Emmons will host a Family Halloween Night from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. Bring the children for a night of crafts and games. Costumes are welcome. Food will be available for kids, as well as full menu items.

Lighted Trick-or-Treat Walk
Celebrate Halloween with Lake Mills from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday. There will be trick-or-treating starting at the Lake Mills Care Center and will go through the city’s lighted garden area to Mills Harbour Independent & Assisted Living. The event will move inside in the case of inclement weather.

Trick-or-treat at Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood
All are invited to the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday for trick-or- treating. There will be over 30 residents handing out candy throughout the dining room and Pines Assisted Living area.

Trunk-or-treat in Glenville
Come to the Glenville Legion and First Lutheran Church parking lots for a fun trunk or treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. During the event there will be free kids meals at the Legion.

Hallelujah Fest
Vibrant Life Assembly of God Church in Ellendale will host Hallelujah Fest from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. The event will have free food, carnival games, candy, popcorn and more.

Glenville Women of Today craft and vendor fair
Glenville Women of Today will host a craft and vendor fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Glenville Emmons Elementary School. There will be handmade crafts and other products as well as a freewill donation lunch.
