Recap: The Knights saw their dominant run come to an end Saturday afternoon against a tough Hills-Beaver Creek team that was the No. 1 seed in the Section 3-9 player playoffs.
There were no individual stats available from the game.

Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons ends its season with a 5-5 record overall and a four-game win streak that included one game in the postseason that saw them outscore their opponents 214-20.

Recap: In a back-and-forth battle, the Rebels ended their game against Cleveland Saturday afternoon standing triumphant 16-10, advancing in the section 2A championship game.

After falling into a 3-0 deficit in the first quarter, United South Central took the lead when Byron Getchell ran in a three yard score and did the same on the two-point conversion to make it an 8-0 game heading into halftime.

Cleveland took the lead back in the third quarter, but with six minutes left in the game, Getchell and the Rebels took the lead back for the final time when he rushing in a 6-yard score and converted a pass to Isaiah Gonzalez on the two-point conversion.

Kolt Bullerman completed two passes on four attempts and picked up 15 yards through the air. Nathan Mutschler and Dylan Bonsack were on the receiving end of those two passes. Mutschler for nine yards and Bonsack for six.

Five Rebels took a turn running the ball on Saturday. Getchell led all rushers with 100 yards and two touchdowns. Bonsack totaled 41 yards on 13 carries. Bullerman, Gonzalez and Gavin Bird combined for 14 carries and 34 yards.

The Rebels advance to the Section 2A finals where they will take on Lester Prairie who is 6-3 on the season. The game will take place at New Prague High School on Friday.

Lake Mills

Recap: Lake Mills squared off with Wapsie Valley in the first round of the district playoffs Friday night. The Bulldogs were outmatched early in the game and were not able to climb out of the hole, losing 50-6.

Hayden Helgeson started at quarterback completing seven passes on 14 attempts for a total of 48 yards. Nash Delger caught three passes for 33 yards to lead the Bulldogs. Zach Stene caught two for six yards and Austin Henderson and Jeremiah Jensen combined for two catches for nine yards.

Delger scored the lone touchdown for the Bulldogs, also adding 88 yards on nine carries to lead the team. Wyatt Hanna was the only other player to finish with 10 or more rushing yards, gaining all of those yards on one carry.

The Bulldogs season comes to an end in the first round of the playoffs with a 4-5 record.

Albert Lea, NRHEG and Northwood-Kensett all had their seasons come to an end in the last edition of the area football round-up.
