Recap: The Bulldogs faced off with a tough St. Ansgar team to end their regular season Friday night and came out losing to the No. 3 ranked Saints, 53-12.
Quarterback Hayden Helgeson completed seven passes on 10 attempts for 46 yards. Jeremiah Jensen was on the receiving end of three of those passes totaling 30 yards and leading the team in the process. Zach Stene and Carter Christianson added to the total with three catches for 6 yards and one catch for 10 yards, respectively.
Jensen also led the team in the run game finishing with 36 yards on nine carries. Christianson scored the Bulldogs one offensive touchdown of the game on a four-yard rush.
The other touchdown for Lake Mills came in the fourth quarter when Stene ran back an 83-yard kickoff return.
The Bulldogs make the postseason by finishing fourth in their district. Their first game of the postseason is slated for Friday night when they travel to take on Wapsie Valley who has a 6-2 record on the season.

Recap: Despite not making the postseason, the Vikings went out on a high note defeating Dunkerton 56-40 Friday night in their season finale.
Alex Tiedemann made his impact in all phases of the game, gaining offensive yards as a thrower, runner and receiver. Tiedemann threw for 81 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 130 yards and one touchdown and caught one ball for 11 yards.
Kooper Julseth caught both of Tiedemann’s touchdown passes, while finishing with 81 yards. Kolton Robinson also pulled in a pass for 26 yards.
Landen Nelson put up 206 yards on the ground and punched in three touchdown runs.
It was an offensive showcase for the Vikings to end their season, finishing with a 3-5 record overall.
Albert Lea, Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons and NRHEG were in action Tuesday night in the first round of their respective section tournaments. Results from those games were unavailable as of press time. Look online and to the next edition of the football round-up for full results from those games.
United South Central earned a bye in the first round of their section tournament and will be back on the field Saturday against the winner of Cleveland and St. James.
