Jim Scholbrock was recently elected to the Winnebago Cooperative Telecom Association board of directors, according to Mark Thoma, WCTA CEO. His first board meeting will be in October.
Scholbrock grew up in Charles City, Iowa. He and his wife, LuAnn, have lived in Lake Mills since 1999. They have three adult children who all attended Lake Mills Community School and are grateful they were able to raise their family in a great community that cares about young people.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University, a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Iowa and his superintendent certification from Iowa State University. He was a middle school teacher and coach at Center Point Urbana before serving as Lake Mills’ secondary principal from 1999-2023.
He retired in 2023 after 24 years at the school and enjoys subbing at Lake Mills Community School as well as traveling with his wife whenever possible.
