Let’s all stop off at the World War II memorial to make a pledge to our fallen heroes that we will not allow a fascist takeover by Trump and his terrorist right-wing billionaire oligarchs who wrote and now plan to institute their Project 2025 MAGA fascist/Christian nationalist plan to come after most of us — to make America a fascist/Christian nationalist nation devoid of any democracy.

I remember my uncle Jack who described his job as a front-line medic during WWII combat battles in Italy against fascism. Jack survived the combat to work as a nurse for the veterans hospital in St. Cloud until he retired. Jack had very sad stories to tell about wounded vets.

General/President Dwight D. Eisenhower would want us all to fight this MAGA form of fascism/Christian nationalism Project 2025 plan, which includes the MAGA decision to embrace Putin. As long as I can remember, Putin executed communist style propaganda against democracies across the world, including now in America with the approval of Trump.

Finstad, Dornink and Bennett want us to join Trump in his desecration of our WWII memorial.

Jack fought against the Nazis, the Italian fascist and the Japanese. Jack certainly would not embrace Putin’s communism. Trump believes those who died in WWII were “suckers and losers.”

I’ll walk by and stop at the WWII memorial as I have done many times during my walks in town.

My prayers are for the fallen heroes.
