As a retired teacher, having over 30 years of classroom experience, I strongly encourage District 241 residents to vote for Mary Jo Dorman for the District 241 School Board. I have known Mary Jo for over 40 years and have spent 13 of those years working with her in our local educational system. It has been my experience that Mary Jo continuously put students’ needs first during her tenure as a classroom teacher and as a curriculum director. She brings a wealth of educational and finance knowledge to the table. Mary Jo is a vested community member, having served on multiple community boards and committees, and would be a valuable addition to the Albert Lea School Board. Our students, educators and staff need a school board member with experience, empathy, reason and conviction for the right path forward (for teachers, students and budget): Vote Mary Jo on Nov. 5.
