Albert Lea Cantori will present the “Singing in the Season” concert called “A Little Christmas Jazz” at 3 p.m. Nov. 24 at the United Methodist Church of Albert Lea.
Join the Cantori as they sing your favorite Christmas carols and seasonal songs. Music will include pieces like “Angels from the Realms of Glory,” “Away in the Manger,” “Infant Holy, Infant Lowly,” “Peaceful Silent Night,” “Sleigh Ride,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire” and more.
Joining the Cantori are instrumentalists, Matt Lehman, Beth Jacobson, Todd Peterson, Jolene Krussow, Deb Stolarcek, Travis Ness, Ruby Mykkenan and Maxx Richardson. Soloists include Melissa Wiersma, Christie Ness, Jodi Blong, Betsy Smith, Noah Iverson, Michael Blong and Stuart Ness. Eileen Nelson Ness is the director of the Albert Lea Cantori.
This will be the Cantori’s 52nd year of singing in the Albert Lea area.
Cantori is one of the longest-running community choirs in Minnesota.
Singers rehearse weekly and come, not only from Albert Lea, but the surrounding areas of Austin, Blue Earth, Bricelyn, Emmons and Hayward.
This concert is open to the public, and there will be a freewill offering. This is a great way to start the holiday season, and the Cantori hopes to see many people there.
