Diane R. Schultz

Diane was born on July 30th, 1958 in Austin, MN to Janice and Gordon Benson of Blooming Prairie, MN. Diane was raised on a farm a few miles outside of Blooming Prairie. She attended Blooming Prairie High School, Class of 1976.

Diane married Michael Roger Schultz on June 6th, 1992 in Wells, MN. They lived and raised their three children on a farm outside of Alden, MN. Diane was a jack-of-all-trades, having many occupations throughout her life. She was best known for her time with Peoples Natural Gas and her laundromat, Di’s Wash and Dry, located in Wells, MN.

Diane was best known for living life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends fiercely, and was always there for support when needed, no matter the circumstance. When Diane wasn’t busy spending time with her husband, children and three grandchildren, you could find her playing bingo, taking a cruise with the family dog Wren in her “bikini blue” Jeep, working in the family asparagus patch or spending time with her many friends.

Whether she was known as wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, Diane, Di, Benson or Benz; she was deeply loved by all that knew her and her memory will be treasured forever.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael; daughter Nicole (Kainoa) Gathje, sons Lance Schultz, Gregor (Amanda) Schultz; grandsons Oliver and Benson Gathje; granddaughter Averie Schultz; sister Carol (Bob) Braaten; mother-in-law Corrine Schultz; several brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
