NOTICE OF HEARING

Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Freeborn County Planning Commission at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, December 2nd , 2024, at the Freeborn County Environmental Services Office, 2020 Pioneer Trail, Albert Lea, Minnesota, to consider amending The Freeborn County Code of Ordinance, as follows;

Chapter 42 (Zoning Ord.) to regulate the time, place, and manner of cannabis businesses in Freeborn County. Specifically, the Planning Commission will consider establishing a table to delineate the cannabis business licenses and the zoning districts in which they will be considered either; permitted, conditionally-permitted, or not permitted.

Chapter 8 to establish procedures for the registration of cannabis businesses in Freeborn County. These procedures include, but are not limited to; application materials, notification requirements, and penalties.
