The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday released the name of the individual who was found dead Friday night in rural Wells.

The body of Miguel Angel Chavez-Lopez, 54, of Albert Lea, was found at a rural property located in Walnut Lake Township on the 14000 section of 540th Avenue.

The death has been deemed a homicide.

Deputies received a 911 call at 11:46 p.m. Friday of a body that was found on the property.  More details have not been released.

The incident remains under investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension .
